When the horses were winning, people wanted to buy them so I started taking people up and replacing the more experienced horses with youngsters and starting again. Now we are so busy with the youngsters/selling that the competition has took a slight side line. although I have kept one horse 'Alimo' for 8 years she's now 9 and has won over £7000 with limited shows and it's nice to have a sensible older horse to escort the babies out on their first hacks!

I have picked up invaluable contacts along the way and have been selling horses for 13 years now, I have been lucky to have the same contacts all the time and we have built up a good business relationship, due to the repeat trade we can afford to sell the horses at much cheaper prices than our competitors.

Most of the horses come from Holland, Belgium, Germany and Denmark, I have access to an extensive range of horses for sale with my European network of contacts. The horses Summer Lees Sports horses have for sale are selected for their quality, looks, ability, soundness, bloodlines and temperament with the majority of horses also undergoing a basic vetting before importation.

I would consider myself qualified to select the horses we offer for sale based on my experience of International competition and experience, this combined with a lifetime of friends, contacts and business acquaintances this gives Summer Lees Sports Horses a unique position in the selling industry.

I enjoy the satisfaction of a successful sale and love to see the horses and owners happy whether it be a sponsored ride or HOYS final.

We transport the horses home ourselves to ensure a quick and comfortable crossing and to keep expensive transportation costs to a minimum . Myself and my partner are both fully qualified for long distance horse movements. The horses are fed, watered and regularly checked so they can arrive home in top condition without any added stress.

We allow the horses time to settle in before assessing each horse learning his/her temperament and ability as we go. The horses are looked after like Royalty and have first class care and attention, our staff are fully qualified, especially with young horses and stallions, our facilities are excellent with an all weather arena, full set of show jumps, XC course to hand and endless off road hacking (new yard to us so will be constantly improving)

We only keep a small stock of horses so we can concentrate on quality rather than quantity, we tend to turn them over fairly quickly to ensure costs are kept to a minimum and we can sell them at a competitive price.

Summer Lees Sports Horses aims to guarantee a service for the professional rider along with the amateur and novice rider too. Selling genuine horses that have the talent to progress through the grades and the older horses to provide a 'service' to the rider.
